I was visiting the birthplace of my grandmother and her family last year in Zlotniki Lubanski (Silesia). The former name is Goldentraum, it is located about twenty kilometers from the German boarder in Poland. My grandmother and her family got deported in 1946 and were send to West Germany by train. They had to leave there houses and friends.
In my work Zurück in die Zukunft one can find confrontations of older photos with newer ones. Some of them are attached with written memories of the original owner of the photographs.
