My photographical work is made with several kinds of cameras. Mostly taken with a large format-camera on 4 inch x 5 inch film. I am also working with middle format-camera on 4½ cm x 6 cm film. I built a couple of pinhole-cameras for different sizes of film.
There is information available on the latest pinhole camera I built.
I use black and white films and sometimes color photo-material. I also like Polaroid-films even though most of the time the film comes out torn or damaged.
Most of my work is made on location outdoors. I never use a flash-light. I always use the current lighting conditions. The people in my photographs are from my direct surroundings, my personal environment.
The black and white photographs are printed on classical baryte-paper, a very long-lasting material with fine shades of grey. The prints are optically exposed and developed by hand by me personally. Because of the changing conditions in chemicals, lighting and process, no two prints are the same. The hand-made nature makes every print unique. The color-prints are printed on high quality photo-paper by a professional developing company.
All prints are signed and numbered on the backside. They are signed on the back in the left bottom-corner displaying the title, and on the right bottom-side I’ve autographed the work. The size of the prints is 25 cm x 30 cm. Older work comes in additions of 5. Newer work, roughly after 2005, is uniquely printed, one copy for the artist. (That’s me.)
If you want to know if a photograph is still available, please contact me.
The prints can be ordered in a metal frame, measuring 40 cm x 50 cm. On request I deliver the print framed behind museum grade UV-filtering glass, in an acid-free passé-partout.
